Avion is a 1998 Amel Super Maramu 53ft Ketch, Hull # 209. She completed two circumnavigations prior to our purchase of her. Her original owner, Julie Bradley, documented the first circumnavigation with her husband, Glen in two books: “Escape from the Ordinary” (in the top 10 sailing books on Amazon) and “Crossing Pirate Waters”.
Her name is attributed to her rich aviation history (4 out of the 5 owners have been involved in aviation in some way, including us!) and the fact that she is a French boat.
